Selling Websites: A flippa Story

by Danny

Jennifer over at PPCMON has written a great post, sharing her take on selling websites on flippa.

Jennifer’s post tells a great story of how a lot of us started trading websites as a way to simply pass on sites that we could no longer afford the attention they required.

Internet marketers are always building new sites, testing new markets etc… It is staggering how quickly you can accumulate sites and eventually something has to give.

Flippa is the perfect place for sending sites to new homes and if you’ve been doing all the right things with your sites, most times at a profit.

Jennifer touches on a subject that I bang on a bit myself,  emotional investment.

At times we get very emotionally attached to our websites and I’m not so sure this is good thing.  Your judgment can become clouded when you start making decisions based on emotion, rather than cold facts.

I’ve often held onto sites a little longer than I ought to have, just because I couldn’t let go. I’ve also experienced that sinking feeling when a site I was so proud of sold for nowhere near what I was hoping for.

Jennifer also talks about buying websites to help your own niche business. It’s a great strategy, as you can find great bargains on flippa to help grow your niche.

So, head over to PPCMON and I’ll talk to you soon
